Meet the Team
The Sarb Kala Samrath team is a diverse group of Sikh creatives, including musicians, artists, designers, and cultural advisors, all dedicated to promoting Sikh arts and culture. They bring unique skills in UX design, digital marketing, anthropology, psychology, and traditional Sikh music. Together, they work to preserve Sikh heritage, offer mentorship, and create opportunities for Sikh artists globally, fostering a community that celebrates cultural expression and creative innovation.

Founder
Harmanan Singh
Harmanan Singh is a multidisciplinary artist with a degree in Music Composition and Production from the Australian Institute of Music. In addition to this, he has been actively involved in exploring pre-colonial Sikh narratives and aesthetics.

As the founder of South Asian Australian Creatives, he has worked to provide a platform for South Asian artists to connect, collaborate, and showcase their talents.
Building on this vision, Harmanan founded Sarb Kala Samrath, an ambitious initiative focused on elevating Sikh arts and culture. Through Sarb Kala Samrath, he aims to bring Sikh art into the mainstream, empowering artists to thrive, innovate, and make a lasting impact on global cultural landscapes.

Creative Director
Satveer Singh
Satveer Singh is a professional UX designer and a digital marketing expert with over seven years of experience in the field. He has worked with clients worldwide, including the Department of Transportation in California, bringing a global perspective to his design projects.
​
Passionate about Sikh culture and innovation, Satveer has collaborated with various Sikh organizations and is involved in initiatives like Sarb Kala Samrath, where he serves as Creative Director.
​
His role includes developing brand identities, overseeing visual storytelling, and creating experiences that elevate Sikh representation in media. Satveer is also an advocate in the tech space, working with nonprofits such as Develop For Good, ensuring that his work bridges both the digital and cultural sectors.

Chief Financial Officer
Saheb Singh
Saheb Singh is a serial entrepreneur with experience in the real estate, finance and tech industries. Saheb has a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Manhattan, NY and a Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship. Having lived in New York and Silicon Valley, Saheb has developed a profound network.
Aside from his business ventures, Saheb has always been passionate about the Sikh faith, Sikh history, and its vast potential in the creative space. In his free time, Saheb loves researching, writing scripts, and conversing with like-minded artists about future Sikh art projects such as movies, Netflix series, and video games. In addition, Saheb also serves as Chair of Punjabi Youth in the American Punjabi Society (APS) and has given multiple speeches at New York State government buildings on various Sikh history topics.
At Sarb Kala Samrath, Saheb aims to combine his passion for Sikhi with his knack for entrepreneurship and help turn SKS’s beautiful vision into a reality.

Marketing Manager
Hao-Wei Hsu
Hao-Wei is an anthropologist by study and a digital marketer by profession. As an anthropologist, he is interested in Sikh studies, Gurmat Sidhant, history and music.

As a marketing associate, he has also worked closely with other Sikh organizations, notably Sikh Youth NZ, and has conducted multiple seminars on Sikh music.
Out of his passion, he has also completed a short 20-minute documentary on different musical genres practiced within the Sikh Panth.
As the content writer and cultural advisor for Sarb Kala Samrath, he shares the goal of elevating Sikh representation in media, and culture.

Project Manager
MEHRAMAT KAUR
Mehramat Kaur is a young environmentalist, writer, and slam poet whose voice amplifies issues of environmental justice and cultural representation. With three years as the marketing director for her school’s robotics team, she has developed a robust skill set in communication, social media strategy, video editing, and photography, establishing herself as a skilled visual storyteller. Her commitment to environmental advocacy is evident through her work with five environmental NGOs, her powerful slam poetry performances, and her engagement with the World Sikh Organization, where she actively represents Sikh interests.

As the Project Manager at Sarb Kala Samrath (SKS), Mehramat takes on a leading role in ideating and executing creative projects aimed at elevating Sikh arts and culture. She combines her digital marketing expertise and innovative thinking to develop impactful campaigns and projects, continuously exploring new ways to engage audiences and broaden SKS’s reach.

Additionally, she brings her personal dedication to Sikh spirituality, actively learning Kirtan and practising Akharkari. Through her role at SKS, Mehramat’s creativity, vision, and leadership are driving forces in amplifying Sikh representation on a global platform.
